In a large bowl, toss apples with spices. Spoon apple mixture into a lightly greased slow cooker. In a separate bowl, combine milk, softened butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla and 1/2 cup baking mix; stir until well mixed. Spoon batter over apples. Place remaining baking mix in a small bowl. Cut in chilled butter until coarse crumbs form. Sprinkle over batter in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low setting for 6 to 7 hours. Serves 10 to 12.
